About Government Health IT Conference & Exhibition

2012: The Year of Critical IT Decisions to Transform Healthcare

Join us for the 8th Annual Government Health IT Conference & Exhibition for the opportunity to share successes, challenges and best practices with decision makers from government, industry and the healthcare community- and leave with a more collective approach toward the transformation of healthcare through the best use of IT.

Topics include:

Track1: Innovative Knowledge Exchange
Case studies and lessons learned by organizations that have successfully collaborated to achieve interoperability.

Track 2: Game Changers
No matter how the political landscape might evolve, healthcare must be provided to patients, and, as a business, it must make its margins to fulfill its mission

A third track, Provider Solutions Sessions, offer exhibitors the opportunity to showcase end-user case studies. The role of patients (Accountable Care Organizations, Patient Centered Medical Homes, and other consumer-led and consumer-focused reforms) and Mobile health (most notably, demonstrations/showcases of mobile technology being used in healthcare), as well as IT return on investment and health information exchange.

GHIT12, held over one and one-half days, features 24 exhibitors critical to the various federal initiatives centered on health IT.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an abbreviated CPHIMS Review Course and then sit for the exam. HIMSS
Career Services professionals will be on hand to equip attendees for transferring their skills and competencies to/from government
and private sector positions.
